AS Roma boosted their bid to qualify
for next season's Champions League by snatching victory deep
into stoppage time on Thursday for a 2-1 win at Udinese as the
teams recovered the last part of the match that had been
suspended when Roma defender Evan Ndicka had a bad turn.
Bryan Cristante headed in the winner at the end of the match,
which had been halted in the 71st minute earlier this month with
the score tied at 1-1.
The win enabled Roma to consolidate fifth place with 58 points
from 33 games.
Sixth-placed Atalanta are four points further back with a game
in hand.
The top five in Serie A get a slot in the Champions League.
